Can I wear my jewelry in the shower or the pool?

We suggest taking off your necklace or bracelet before you get in water. Gold-filled pieces will not tarnish nearly as quickly as gold-plated, but both will last their longest if you keep them out of water.

What does gold-filled mean?

Gold fill is a thick layer of solid gold bonded to a base metal, usually brass. 14K gold-filled is a high quality, affordable alternative to solid gold. It lasts a long time and does not tarnish as quickly as gold-plated or brass.

What if the gold parts of my jewelry starts to tarnish?

If the gold-filled elements begin to tarnish, gently scrubbing them wish a soft cloth or soft toothbrush using water and soap will keep them looking shiny and new! Unless a piece is made out of solid 24k gold, it will tarnish/fade over time. Keeping your jewelry out of water and away from harsh chemicals or lotions will help them stay looking new.
